John is involved in a number of drum related projects.Originally from New York City, John moved to the Bay Area in 1989 and has performed all over California and Nevada. John honed his performance and gigging skills while performing weekly at blues, funk and rock jam sessions, at the Red House Studios in Walnut Creek, CA with members of local Bay Area bands, including Johnny Nitro from The Doorslammers. John has also performed with many local Bay Area musicians and recording artists.John's projects include playing progressive rock with Voices & Echoes from Concord and Astral Kitchen; based out of Napa, hard rock with The Capp Street Girls from San Francisco and alternative ska with Three Of... from Walnut Creek. Additionally, John toured throughout California and Nevada with the South Lake Tahoe, CA based country western & rockabilly blues band, Little Sister.John currently has recorded four albums: an EP with Three Of..., a feature length album, "Worth The Risk" with The Capp Street Girls, an EP with Voices & Echoes and an EP with Dealbreaker, an Oakland, CA based trio. John is currently sitting in with Sugasmack, a San Jose based trio playing a grungy, 90's, funk, punk based variety of of all original music.John has appeared on Rhino Room TV in Pomona, CA; The Screw Pop Culture Radio Show in Hollywood, CA; Mevio.com TV in San Francisco, CA and on the Kelly in The Morning Show on KVYN Radio in Napa, CA. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).John's drumming influence is primarily the hard rock drummers from the 60's through today like Carmine Appice, Ian Paice, the incomparable John Bonham, Phil Rudd, Brad Wilk and Steven Adler. He has also studied the styles of the jazz and big band drummers from the 1940's and 50's, such as Buddy Rich, Bernard Purdie, Art Blakey and Ed Shaughnessy. John has experience playing punk, rock, alternative rock, post punk, country, blues, funk and R&B.John's kit includes his signature Ludwig drums with a 26" bass and Sabian, Meinl and Masterworks cymbals. He is currently waiting for an endorsement from Meinl cymbals.John has appeared on Rhino Room TV in Pomona, CA; The Screw Pop Culture Radio Show in Hollywood, CA; Mevio.com TV in San Francisco, CA and on the Kelly In The Morning Show on KVYN Radio in Napa, CA. John plays Ludwig drums and Sabian cymbals. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).In the Fall of 2015, John appeared as an extra in the feature length movie, Running Wild, starring Sharon Stone and Christina Moore, playing a horse auction person.
