[on engaging Jane Fonda and Vanessa Redgrave for Lillian Hellman's 'Julia'] Why not? It was perfect symmetry. The two most famous left-wing women of the '70s playing two left-wing women of the '30s. I liked it. Of course, the fact that Jane and Vanessa were both terrific actresses didn't hurt either. Not to mention they both agreed to work cheap. Show less «
