Jon McGruder is Newtown's vicar, he preaches at the funeral for Lionel's mother. His truly outstanding moment is when he uses Kung Fu to defend Lionel from the freshly zombified Void and Scroat. He incapacitates Scroat, but gets himself bitten in the process and becomes one of Lionel's zombies. He falls in love with the zombie Nurse McTavish, and the two get frisky at breakfast one moring and have a zombie baby. He helps attack the party guests in the finale, and gets an unfortunate dental exam from psychotic Uncle Les. He meets his end when Lionel attacks him and Nurse Mctavish with his lawnmower whilst they are making love on the blood covered floor.
