This film tells the story of football legend Bobby Robson, who was more than just a technical director who runs a football team. Playing for his country constantly, and around Ipswich to European winners, it was clear that his true talent lay in training, without fear, and his talent is still alive and emulated among the coaches of the world such as Guardiola, Moreno, Alex Ferguson and others.
The journalistic level of the talking heads interviews in the film-and the anecdotes they come up with-is unusually rich, but that's down to Robson's inspirational quality.
Slightly faint praise perhaps (there are a couple of Scots ahead of him), but Torquil Jones and Gabriel Clarke's poignant documentary demonstrates the foolishness of underestimating the avuncular Geordie...
In this affectionate and moving documentary... the late Sir Bobby Robson emerges both as likeable and as far more driven and astute than was sometimes recognised during his lengthy coaching career.
