Cinema Crazed
Though "The Gift" is tonally uneven, it's still worth a watch if only for the mood and inherent dread present.
Failing to deliver as a suspenser, The Gift relies heavily on its name cast, particularly Cate Blanchette, which elevates the old-fashioned yarn to a more serious patina.
The movie has an impressive cast. Blanchett is a terrific actress who deserves better than this.
