how the hell does this movie have such a high IMDb rating? this is literally one of the most boring movies i've ever seen, makes no sense, characters barely talkk, if they do its so quiet you can hardly tell what they're saying... and why the hell is the dark haired girl there in the first place? she doesnt seem to get along with the other two at all, and you dont normally go on weekend trips to break into places with people you cant stand to begin with. horrible acting, writing and movie all around.

Noel Murray
"The Snare" is admirably artful and oblique in putting its own twist on the haunted-house story, but it's derivative of much better psychological suspense films and is obnoxiously unpleasant to boot.

The real crime ... is how utterly boring it all is.

Matt Donato
The Snare is so without substance that you might not even remember watching it.

Andrew Marshall
It tries to create and maintain an atmosphere of pervading tension, but through its unrealised premise, uneventful plot and simple lack of any real story, it utterly fails to hold your attention.
